1963

Fred Pacione writes, “The Class held its 28th annual Christmas party on Dec. 11, 2015, at the Café Escadrille in Burlington, Mass.” In addition to Fred, attendees included Paul McMackin, Al Bradley, Bill Lounsbury, Bob Goldstein, Lynn Olmsted, Andy Seremeth, Doug Marshall, Bruce Bonnell, Pete Bryant, Bren Cleary, Don Fawcett, Bill Sweetser, Al Pettingil, Glen Osberg, Nate Palmer, Dick D’Elia, and Charlie Heberle.

1965

Two alumni from the Class of 1965 and one from the Class of 1967 got together for lunch with Carlton “Jake” O’Connor ’50, their former high school basketball coach and principal at West Boylston High School: Wolfgang Bauer ’67, David Lacilla, and Dave “Whitey” Anderson. (See photo.)

1968

Timothy Hill retired from the Methuen Public Schools in Methuen, Mass., in August 2014, as the director of mathematics and technology. He writes, “My new address is 7 Green Meadow Drive, Reading MA 01867.”

1969

Local developer and former state senator John Stabile was honored last October as the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year. The award recognizes individuals who have various accomplishments across the board and are involved in the community and civic organizations.

1970

Carl Pascal writes, “I posted a personal best time and earned third place for my age-group (gray hair/no hair) in the Maine Marathon on October 4, 2015.” Carl ran his first marathon in 2014, coming in second in his age-group. (See photo.)

1975

Randy Gaetz, Terry Gaetz (VC), Alan DeForest, and Cindy DeForest (VC) celebrated Terry’s birthday at Fenway Park last fall. (See photo.)

1978

Eleanor and Rick Sinnott joined Judith and Parker Glasier ’90 for the annual Armistice Day Dinner at the British Officers Club of New England, created in 1921 by British World War I veterans living in Boston. A former Royal Air Force officer, Judith was the first female to be granted membership to the club. (See photo.)

John Manning writes, “It was a great day at the Mount Ida/NU football game. Big win and lots of laughs with everyone there from the ’Wich.” (See photo.)

1983

President Schneider recently met up with three NU alumni and one former NUARI employee who are all currently employed by the Center for Internet Security, located outside Albany, N.Y.: Brian Calkin M’12, VP of security operations; Meghan Rioux ’13, senior SOC analyst; Ted Fischer, engineering specialist; and Steve Spano, president and COO. 1984

Kittiphong Wongskhaluang writes, “I finally hosted a lunch for senior Cadet Brennen Cornell ’16. He is a good soldier and has asked me to attend his commissioning ceremony in May.” (See photo.)

1985

Army Col. Dean Rondeau was presented the Legion of Merit at his retirement ceremony last June at Fort Wadsworth, Staten Island. Given for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services and achievements, the award was presented by U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Glenn Goddard, commanding general of the 353rd Civil Affairs Command (CACOM), an expeditionary unit that supports both EUCOM and AFRICOM. Dean served in the U.S. Army for 34 years; his last assignment was chief of operations for 353rd CACOM. He is the father of Derek Rondeau ’09. (See photo online.)

1986

Army Col. Mark Boussy retired after serving 28 years on active duty. Having transitioned to Army senior civilian employee, Mark still serves soldiers and military families. He and his family have settled in San Antonio, Texas, where he continues to play ice hockey on a team with two fellow alumni. (See photo.)

Army Brig. Gen. Mark J. O’Neil was promoted to major general on Dec. 4, 2015, during a ceremony at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. A decorated war veteran, Mark was recognized for his 15 deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq in combat operations, and to Bosnia in peacekeeping operations. He currently leads Combined Arms Center – Training, having previously served as deputy commanding general for the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, New York.

1989

Army Col. Jayson Altieri and U.S. Coast Guard Lt. Corey Boudreau ’98 crossed the finish line together at the 40th Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C., on October 25, 2015. Jayson writes, “While this was Corey’s first marathon, it won’t be his last!” (See photo online.)

Retired Army Col. Mark Henderson ’74 and Jayson participated in the Virginia Scottish Games on September 5, 2015, in Plains, Va. Mark, a member of Clan Henderson, and Jayson, a member of Clan Buchanan, marched in the Parade of Tartans and shared ceremonial Scotch whiskeys during the event. (See photo online.)

1990

Chris Fox had a beautiful Afghan carpet made to commemorate his time at Norwich and his three years as a member of Mountain Cold Weather Company and the Norwich Rescue Team. He donated it to the Sullivan Museum last October while celebrating his 25th class reunion in Northfield. (See photo.)

Tom Benckert has been promoted to director of mission support for the Office of Internal Affairs with U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Washington, D.C.

1995

Paul Magness and his wife are the parents of twins Malcom and Marianna. Paul writes, “We are extremely thankful and blessed to have these two angels in our lives.” (See photo.)

2001

Will Storms was recently promoted to lieutenant colonel in the United States Air Force. He is the material leader for the B61-12 Tailkit Assembly Branch, Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, Eglin AFB, Florida. On hand for the ceremony was retired Air Force Lt. Col. Russ Barbero ’77, who also works at Eglin AFB. Will, his wife, Melissa, and their daughter, Alexa, live in Niceville, Fla.

2002

Shannon (Auger) and Rob Robichaud welcomed a son, Ryan Robert Robichaud, into the world on January 24, 2015. (See photo.)

2006

Sam Slater, Tom Hajosch ’10, John Rindt ’09 and Stephen Trala, all with Burlington’s C Co 3-126AVN (AA), flew a Blackhawk HH-60M to campus for this past fall’s Homecoming celebration. (See photo.)

2010

Matt Bambrick, a graduate of the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies (CGCS) MSIA and MSBC programs, has been hired by CGCS to instruct two information assurance courses in the college’s new online Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security degree-completion program. Additionally, Matt teaches online coursework for his other alma mater, Ashford University, as an instructor within the homeland security, emergency management, and criminal justice curriculums. He has also developed and taught two emergency management courses at Drexel University’s Goodwin College of Professional Studies.

2011

Nicholas Palluth and Rebecca Jones were married July 19, 2015, in the Catskills of upstate New York, before honeymooning in Ireland in October. Their nuptials were attended by many NU architecture classmates. A year ago, the couple completed all prerequisites and exams necessary to receive their respective professional licenses to practice architecture in the state of Texas. They reside in Fort Worth. 2012

Rachel Bitar and Jennifer Hutt got together for a photo op in Acajutla, El Salvador, last summer. Jennifer writes, “We met up after discovering both our ships were in the same port during our deployment.” (See photo.)

Karen Springer, a 2012 graduate of NU’s online MBA program, is the founder and owner Spring Forward Companies. Since opening in 2013, Spring Forward Companies has become known for resumes that produce interviews and for business documents that increase corporate revenue. Most recently, Springer was named winner of the Thumbtack’s “Best of 2015” for excellent customer reviews.

2013

Richie Brown was the recipient of a Top Academic Award plus the Air Force Association Flying Award in Columbus, Miss., on September 11, 2015. Richie is headed to Barksdale AFB, Louisiana, to fly the mighty B-52.
