Club & Chapter News – Spring 2016

Living our Values: Service Before Self

Fall is historically the “season of service” for NU Clubs around the country, and this year was no exception. We are proud to include a sampling of photos and highlights from a few NU service projects across the country. Submit your event to alumni.norwich.edu/events.

NU Club of Cape Cod – More than 70 alumni, family members, and friends of Norwich joined with the NU Club of Cape Cod and hundreds of other volunteers at the National Cemetery in Bourne, Mass., on November 7 for a Day of Service to the nation’s veterans. Following a brief ceremony, volunteers placed flags on each of the 64,000 gravesites.

NU Club of Seattle/Tacoma – On November 14, braving high winds, heavy rains, and abysmal driving conditions, 20 members of the Norwich family from the NU Club of Seattle/Tacoma brought a home-cooked dinner to eight military families staying at Joint Base Lewis-McChord Fisher House while their loved ones received treatment at Madigan Army Medical Center. Overall, a wonderful night filled with lots of laughter.
