THE PEGASUS PLAYERS, CIRCA 1977

One of the longest-running groups on campus, the PegasusPlayers theatrical troupe has been entertaining Norwich audiences continuously since 1927. They produce two plays per year, fall and spring, and genres run the gamut from Shakespeare, to musicals, to experimental theater. Some earlier productions included: For the Honor of the 53rd (1927), Macbeth (1931), The Importance of Being Earnest (1946), Witness for the Prosecution (1964), South Pacific (1970), The Odd Couple (1976), and A Streetcar Named Desire (1980). More recent productions have included: Dracula (2007), Always … Patsy Cline (2009), and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare(abridged) (2010). Did you appear in the 1977 musical, Guys and Dolls, pictured here? Can you identify any of the actors ormusicians in the photo? Please send your memories from this (or any other Pegasus Players production) to record@norwich.edu, and we will consider printing them in a future issue. — Editor
