Munn ’81 Honored

The Office of Alumni Relations has created a new award to recognize generous, enthusiastic, and ongoing efforts that support and build alumni-to-alumni connections and/or alumni-to-student relations. In January 2018, Chris Munn ’81 became the first recipient of the NU2NU Award for his meaningful contributions to the university by volunteering time and talent. A former NU rugby and lacrosse player, Chris has been a mentor and inspiration to Norwich athletes for many years, even as he battles ALS.

This photo was taken Sunday, December 3, 2017, on the grounds of Furman University in South Carolina following Norwich Rugby’s victory over North Dakota State, when Norwich took third place in the Division II National Championships. “Chris (pictured) was talking with the rugby team, and all the parents and alums were listening as well,” said Dennis Downey ’81. “Quite a moment in time.”
