News from the NUAA – Spring 2016

nuaa_logoExperiences at Norwich transformed many of us during our formative years, and frequently, it was an individual who provided the opportunity and knowledge that allowed the transformation to occur. If you value what your Norwich experience has provided and want to give something back, there are three ways to contribute: by giving your time, talent, or treasure.

Let’s be frank. You will be encouraged to make a financial contribution to the Forging the Future Campaign. In preparation for our third century of educating future leaders of our nation, Norwich is committed to providing the best learning environment, so that our students can adapt, innovate, and prepare for the challenges that lie ahead. Every contribution helps toward this goal.

You can also support the development of our students by giving your time and talent. Many of us were formed and transformed by our Norwich experience, and can now share our wisdom and expertise with current students and young alumni. The NU Alumni Association supports a number of programs that provide these opportunities. You can mentor students through the Board of Fellows or annual Coaching for Leadership program. Contact the Alumni Office to learn more at alumni@norwich.edu.

One of the most impactful ways you can help current students and recent graduates is by providing internships through the “Hire Norwich First” initiative. Contact the Career and Internship Center for more information at careers@norwich.edu.

If you love talking about Norwich, you may find it rewarding to serve the university as an Admissions Ambassador. Norwich needs your help finding and recruiting the best and brightest high school students to fill each incoming class. If interested, contact admissions@norwich.edu.

You can also support recent graduates as they begin their journeys after Norwich. NU Clubs across the country host events that provide opportunities for new and not-so-new alumni to meet for professional and social networking. Find an event near you, or contact Heather Socha, assistant director of NU Clubs, at hsocha@norwich.edu to organize an event in your area!

The NUAA invites all Norwich alumni to become more engaged by sharing their time, talent, or treasure to ensure Norwich University remains at the forefront of developing the future leaders so needed in the world today.
